A great design book about Hisui Sugiura (杉浦 非水 Sugiura Hisui?, May 15, 1876 – August 18, 1965) was a Japanese graphic designer who was a pioneer of modern Japanese graphic design.
It’s obviously vintage design.
A lot of graphics/patterns/poster design as well. Very inspiring if you like Japanese patterns and Japanese vintage Graphics.
The kind of book you only can check on site, so i was very happy finding this one. 🙂
The book is full of illustrations. Only 3 pages of “blabla” about the author who is a man,
i was almost sure the designs was from a woman when i first looked at the book.
Surely inspiring for any graphic designers. There are also some floral watercolor layout drawing at the end of book.
